Inspiration
Mom had to work on another website yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to update my journal. Drats. I have some good news and wanted to share it with you! First, I got another award on Saturday! I finally got it posted on my Award page. This award came from Missy, the rat that starred on America's Funniest Videos in November of last year. Mom says she's going to see if she can find any Internet broadcasts of that show. You know, Mom and I sit on the couch together and watch Animal Planet's "The Planet's Funniest Animals" just about every night, and we've seen quite a few rats on there! I was just wondering if it was anyone we know...? Now, for the other good news! You may not know it, but my journal was directly inspired by another site that Mom had read and dearly loved before she brought me home from PetCo. When Mom started taking pictures of me and realized I was pregnant (TeeHee!) she thought it would be neat for me to start a journal of my own, showing off.. er, showing pictures of my sweet babies and writing about them. The site that inspired my journal, however, stopped updating some months back. But Mom went and looked today, and it's back going again! Mom was really happy about that, so I helped her make an Award for the site which directly inspired mine - Spider's Diary! Spider the Rat has fathered babies of his own! Wow, looking at those lovely pictures sure brought back memories! Be sure to go visit. Today mom opened our cage door again in the computer room, and Ember used her usual escape route to get down. The only problem is, Mom was aiming the camera at me and I'm such a ham, that I was busy posing - so I didn't get to see how Ember got down! I looked from the top of my cage, then from the doorway, then from the top again, and I just don't see how she gets down so fast!
I still suspect that she uses that pile of rickety floppy disks, but any rat that could see straight would no way endanger their life like that! Mom's computer desk is not exactly *tidy!*
I tried using my water bottle to get down, but no such luck. Then I thought Mom's monitor might be close enough to reach, but - foiled again. Finally Mom felt sorry for me so she picked me up and put me where Ember was at the moment.
Just as my little rattie feet touched a solid surface, I scrambled back up to my cage again! You would too if Mom took pictures of how dangerous her computer desk looks! Besides, I was having fun just
watching Ember run around down there, and with exactly this
sort of bird's eye view. Mom was surprised to see me scramble UP
when I had made it look like it was impossible for me to get down!
Fooled her, didn't I? TeeHee! |
