Possible Last Night

Mom got sick toward the end of last week. She's feeling better now, though.

Ooh... that itches...

Ha! It was funny watching Mom trying to get pictures of the boys today. The only time the boys hold still are when they're sleeping, or eating, and that would become reduntant, Mom says. I can see that if she keeps having that much trouble (it took over an hour just to get these!) then she might stop taking pictures for me. Drats.

Well, as it turns out, this might be the boys' last night here, anyway. Tomorrow Mom is going to call that lady back at PetCo, since the lady sounded like she'd help my boys only go to really good rat-loving homes.

This may be goodbye forever...

If it is the boys' last night, this might even be the end of my journal. First, Mom is incredibly busy building web sites for money, and she just got two more assignments tonight, one of which is already two months overdue! And she has two to finish already. Although she doesn't mind taking pictures for me, I can't be taking up her computer anymore when she has so much work to do.

Mom is going to have to work a lot in the next few weeks. She didn't get home from work until 8:pm tonight. She hurriedly got everyone's dinner, but even so the boys were an hour overdue for their Out-Time. You should have seen them cling to the cage walls everytime Mom walked by!

I wonder who's going to a new home first...

And, after tomorrow, there might not be anything left to take pictures of, besides me and my daughter Ember. Since neither of us is expecting babies, I suspect that might become a little boring.

I won't get my cage back right away. The boys are going to stay in it at PetCo so that Angela can sell them seperate from all their other rats. Mom says that she is going to ask Angela if she can come pick the boys up at the end of Angela's work-week, whenever that is, so the boys can get reacquainted with people again. It will be interesting to see if anyone got homes during that time.

Mom made a little flyer for the boys to leave with Angela and the staff, with Mom's phone number on it, in case anything comes up, or they need the cage out of there because they don't have room for it anymore - or, in case they all get homes during Angela's work week.

If any of the boys do end up coming home, maybe I can talk Mom into getting pictures again. Maybe Mom won't be able to drop them off tomorrow. Never know, until she talks to Angela.

Okay Mom, I'll hold still so they can see how beautiful I am...

Mom tried to get a picture of Little Bit in her hand, but Little Bit did not want to hold still. She got two pictures and they turned out horrible. So she got Houdini out, and he was such a peach, this was Mom's first attempt - and it came out perfect. Mom told me that she wanted you to see just one almost-full-grown babe in her hand, and then give you a blast from the past:

We can't talk yet!!!

That was taken on September 20, 1999, only eight weeks ago.
