Still Here
The boys are still home. Mom stayed home with us today, and being that she didn't have a car, I watched her finish up another project. She still has work to do on it, but she saw me watching her and I guess decided to take my pictures so I could update my journal while she took a break from the computer. Once Mom gets started on something she forgets most other things, including calling PetCo today.
Have you visited my Guestbook lately? Thank you if you have. Today a visitor named Inese posted in there, and I'm really glad to have helped someone! You're welcome, Inese! Also, Laura posted a really sweet message in there today! Mom said thank you, Laura! Mom says she feels the same way, too - why do they need loving homes when they already have one?! Marion posted in my Guestbook that she had 25 ratties! So what's wrong with keeping 10? That would seem a little lean to people like Marion! TeeHee! But, the problem is that so far, Daddy says no. Drats.
Mom even cleaned their cage last night in preperation to take them to PetCo on the idea that they would stay in their cage, seperate from the un-handraised ratties that are there. But then Mom noticed how -pardon the pun- ratty the boys' hammock is looking, and said that it needs to be replaced. Also, Daddy had said not to get her hopes up about Tuesday because he couldn't see what one business day would do to increase the boys' chances. You know what I think? I think Mom just can't bear to give them up! Mom says there's no feeling in the world like eight warm ratty bodies on your lap at the same time. She says she now understands the story over at WereRat's Lair!
My Ratty Grandma called today to find out if Mom had taken the boys to PetCo. Grandma wants the boys to go to good homes too while they're still young. (Grandma: They HAVE a good home!) TeeHeeHee!
And besides, who would Mom take pictures of for this journal, just me and Ember? B-O-R-I-N-G! Well, I guess it's obvious where I want my boys to live! TeeHee! But it's Mom's decision of course, and if she feels comfortable with my boys at PetCo then I guess it's okay. By the way, I asked Mom to get a picture of her camera so you would know why the babes think it's a big black eye. The camera is actually a Connectix VC webcam by Logitech, and takes amazingly good pictures. If you didn't know, yesterday's pictures were taken with Daddy's cam-corder, but today's and for weeks now, the pictures have been taken by Mom and her Connectix VC webcam.
Mom's fingers almost look like eyelashes, don't they?! See you tomorrow! |
