I'm back!

I think Mom's schedule has calmed down enough that I can have her take pictures of me and my babes again. I can type all day long, but I don't know how to work the camera - and a Photo Journal is nothing without pictures!

Long time no see!

Mom has decided to name my daughter 'Ember' (the reason Ember's head is blurry in this picture is because she was head-weaving - her eyesight isn't the best!). I think it's cute: Cinder, Ember, and Ash! Mom said that if she kept a boy, she would name him Brimstone. While I have considered that all our names carry the trait of burned items, I think that Mom simply doesn't like to break a good pattern... and when she told me that she first called my daughter Amber, I knew I was right! (Whew!)

Don't look at me, I didn't do that to our shelf! When Mom has the boys taken care of, the three of us are going to move into my nice cage. It seems the boys have been paying hell on my cage though. Mom is going to have to replace their cardboard shelf, and their hammock has pee stains in it, so that has to be thrown away. Mom says she will replace it with my hammock after she washes it.

This is the life...The boys are getting so big! This is shot of Grey Wolf cleaning himself on their shelf. For a week there, it seemed like Nature was only developing the boys' reproductive organs - and the week after that, they increased their body size by double! Maybe that's just Nature's way of ensuring that our species survives. In fact, the boys were fertile at 5 weeks of age, and here they will be seven weeks old this Saturday!

Although it seems impossible, the boys still fit in a regular toilet paper tube. Mom saw one sleeping in one today and wanted to take a picture, but when she turned the light on so that the picture would come out, the babe thought Mom was handing out treats or something and came to investigate what she was doing!

Darn, this tube is getting smaller! No matter, I'm Houdini... I can escape anytime I want to.

In fact, it's difficult for mom to get pictures of the babes anymore. There's always a babe checking out the camera, which makes the camera refocus, then the babe stops, then the camera refocuses again, then the babe decides to investigate further! Mom is lucky to have gotten these pictures, but she told me that she tried extra hard to get good pictures because she felt bad for not taking pictures for my journal for me.

yum yum yum... oh, that's paper... nevermind...

If it all turns out, my boys will be going to loving homes soon also. So that's another reason Mom wanted to take pictures. I still can't believe how big they've gotten - Mom keeps me and my daughter seperate of course, so that we don't end up pregnant. My boys are on a shelf higher than I am during the day, so I rarely even see them. Mom has usually put the boys to bed before Ember and I get our out-time.

I don't know why she calls me Bermuda... I'm not dangerous!
