Identity
I am learning that I can relax on Mom's shoulder. I don't really mind the hair anymore, it keeps me warm. It can get a little ticklish on the whiskers, though.
I didn't get an entry into the journal yesterday, Mom needed her computer to finish a website, and Grandma and Grandpa came over with some more panels to install on Mom and Dad's porch. This is a good thing, because it's getting cold out there and sometimes Mom's hair just doesn't keep me warm enough! The panels will keep the chilly air off the porch! Mom has started nick-naming the babes. She says they're only nick-names so that she can tell them apart from each other - they will get real names when they go to loving homes.
We got a lot of pictures of the one she nick-named 'Houdini.' She calls him that because if the door is left open for any amount of time, he will run out the door and around to the backside of the cage. Once she just let him continue running, and he surprised himself by ending back up at the door again! TeeHee! All my babes have my white socks, and are solid colored on the top. Oftentimes it's hard to tell who's who among the grey ones without first turning them over!
Little Bit and Houdini above, using their ladder as a pillow as they are so wont to do. It's funny, Mom hasn't even thought of a name for my daughter yet, and here she's got all these guys nick-named already! As I have said, one of the cinnamon babes is called Houdini. The other one looks just like Houdini but is dustier-colored. I bet you can guess what Mom calls him, can't you?! Hold your mouse over the picture below to see if you're right!
The babes got their nick-names in
this order (if it matters): She hasn't thought of a name for the babe who's tummy looks like clouds-on-grey-sky yet. She thought of 'Stormy' or 'Storm Cloud' but they had a bird named Stormy and they used to call him Storm Cloud. If you think you can help with a nick-name for him, then please send a suggestion to my Mom! Oh yes, and if anyone wants one of my boys (and you live in Western Washington), let Mom know! |
