Mom decided it was Family Portrait Day, so Dad took some pictures of me with my babes.
Good things come in threes! I have three white babes, three black babes, and three light-brown babes. I think it's funny that my mom just realized that! I guess she was way too busy adoring them with her eyes to actually *see* them!
I didn't much care for being couped up with my babes in my old home (the glass aquarium). But Mom explained to me that it helps you to realize just how much they've grown when you get to see them with me. Plus, she needed something that we would all fit in safely, and something through which pictures could be taken. And, she promised the photo-session would be short. Thankfully, she was right. If I even brush one of their newly-developed whiskers, they attack en masse!
They still like to pile up like little football players, don't they? This morning, they were so loud, they woke up Mom and Dad. Daddy says that they are getting too big to be in a heap like that anymore, and Mom says it's also due to their fur coming in lush and thick. Skin sticks, fur doesn't. So what happens is, the top-most babe rolls off, then tries desperately - all the while scratching loudly at the box material beneath him - to get under the pile-up again ... which causes the next top-most babe to roll off! Dad watched for about ten minutes while this went on, and on, and on (meanwhile, I was busy watching Dad!).
Here in Mom's hand are three sweeties colored (from left) a brown, black, then white. The camera didn't really show the color differences well, but notice how defined the white babe's eyelids are. Mom says they should be opening them in the next 2 to 3 days. I can't believe this same hand (Mom's) held all nine of my sweeties... now it seems it can barely fit these three! |
